How early should I arrive for Chemainus–Thetis Island?

Aim to arrive 20 to 30 minutes early on an ordinary day, and add time if you cannot miss that sailing. Check-in closes five minutes before departure at Chemainus and three minutes before departure at Thetis for both vehicles and foot passengers.

Can I take a bicycle from Chemainus to Thetis Island?

Yes. A bicycle travels free with the passenger fare, and it is one of the best ways to handle the no-transit Thetis end. Charge an e-bike before you arrive because onboard charging is not allowed. BC Ferries asks cyclists to arrive 30 to 60 minutes early, walk aboard and secure the bike where crew direct.

Can I reserve a vehicle space for Thetis Island?

No vehicle reservation is offered for this crossing. Vehicles are ticketed and loaded in arrival order, and meeting the check-in cutoff does not guarantee space. Check current conditions before leaving and arrive earlier if missing one sailing would disrupt your day.

Does every Chemainus–Thetis sailing make the same stops?

No. Chemainus, Thetis and Penelakut share one service, and stop patterns can change by departure. Open the details for your exact sailing and check its listed stops and destination before arranging an island pickup.
