Questions riders ask before this trip
Brooklyn Navy Yard–Wall Street is the Astoria line at its most useful: one harbor hop between working waterfront and Lower Manhattan. The ride is short enough to feel like a secret, but the landings still demand respect. Enter the Yard through Market @77, choose the Astoria queue at Pier 11, and never price the trip using boat time alone.
How early should I arrive for Brooklyn Navy Yard–Wall Street?
Reach the landing before departure with your ticket ready. Boarding is first-come. At the Yard, budget the public walk from Market @77; at Pier 11, find the Astoria queue among several route signs. A short crossing does not make either approach instantaneous.

The current regular fare is $4.50 one way, bought in the NYC Ferry app or at a landing machine. These are consecutive Astoria-route stops, so no transfer is needed. A later change to another NYC Ferry route is free within 120 minutes; the return is separate.

Parking is the awkward option at both ends. NYC Ferry says it is very limited near most landings and discourages driving. The Yard has street and metered spaces outside the campus, not a ferry lot; Pier 11 is better reached by downtown subway, bus, bicycle or foot.

Yes, subject to the roughly eight-to-ten-bike rack limit. Use the Yard's Clinton Avenue bicycle entrance or walk through Building 77 from Flushing Avenue. Bikes remain outside on the bow unless they fold to suitcase size, and a full rack can mean waiting.

Yes on the Astoria route: the two landings are consecutive, with no intermediate call and no boat change. Current examples are about 10 to 13 minutes depending on direction and day. Check the exact departure because the wait will usually exceed the crossing.

Enter at 141 Flushing Avenue through Market @77, at Flushing and Vanderbilt. The accessible, stroller-friendly path continues past Building 77 toward the landing. The B67 enters the campus; the B48, B57, B62 and B69 stop outside and add a walk.

NYC Ferry lists the 2/3 at Wall Street, J/Z at Broad Street and 1 at South Ferry, plus the M15. None opens onto the gangway. Follow signs toward the East River and add the waterfront walk rather than timing the trip to the station platform.

Yes. Pier 11 serves several NYC Ferry lines, and route names matter more than the final borough. Look for Astoria and confirm Brooklyn Navy Yard is the next stop. A boat using another route can leave from the same terminal without serving the Yard at all.
