Questions riders ask before this trip
Wall Street–Astoria is nearly the full Astoria route: Navy Yard cranes, Midtown towers, Gantry Plaza and Roosevelt Island before Hallets Cove. It is a 45-to-53-minute harbor tour with commuter usefulness, not a Queens express. Read the Astoria queue at Pier 11, bring a layer, and enjoy the detour only after checking the clock.
How early should I arrive for Wall Street–Astoria?
Reach the terminal before departure with your ticket ready. Boarding is first-come, and this 45-to-53-minute ride makes a missed sailing costly. At Pier 11, find the Astoria queue; in Astoria, use 3-10 Astoria Boulevard on the Hallets Cove waterfront.

The current regular fare is $4.50 one way, bought in the NYC Ferry app or at a landing machine. Brooklyn Navy Yard, East 34th, Long Island City and Roosevelt Island are part of the same ride. Stay aboard and use one ticket.

Parking is not the sensible default at either end. NYC Ferry says it is very limited near most landings and discourages driving. Pier 11 has downtown subway and bus options; Astoria has the Q18, Q19, Q102 and Q103 near the waterfront area.

Yes, if the boat's roughly eight-to-ten-bike rack still has space. Bikes stay on the bow unless they fold to suitcase size. Both landings have racks. On this long route, leave room for the next sailing if the rack fills.

The route calls at Brooklyn Navy Yard, East 34th Street, Long Island City and Roosevelt Island. You stay aboard at all four. Across both directions and the current weekday and weekend tables, examples run roughly 45 to 53 minutes.

Look for Astoria and confirm the uptown stop sequence. Pier 11 serves several NYC Ferry routes, and another boat from the same terminal may head to Brooklyn, Queens or Staten Island without serving Astoria. Read the route label before lining up.

The ferry is at 3-10 Astoria Boulevard on Hallets Cove, away from the N/W platforms. NYC Ferry lists the Q18, Q19, Q102 and Q103 as bus options. Add the waterfront walk before comparing this ride with the subway.

Yes, if the schedule fits. The route passes Navy Yard, Midtown, Gantry Plaza and Roosevelt Island before Astoria, giving a broad East River view for a regular fare. It is still transit: stay clear of boarding lines and keep a return plan.
