Questions riders ask before this trip

DUMBO–South Williamsburg is a short Brooklyn-waterfront link. Both B and Local make the two stops consecutive, with regular compatible trips spanning about 10 to 12 minutes. The dated September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable kept it on B at about 10 to 14 minutes.

How early should I arrive for DUMBO–South Williamsburg?

Reach the dock before departure with your ticket ready. Boarding is first-come. DUMBO is at Old Fulton and Furman; South Williamsburg is at 440 Kent Avenue. Choose East River B or Local. A skips South Williamsburg.

How much is the ferry between DUMBO and South Williamsburg?

The current regular fare is $4.50 one way, bought in the app or at a machine. On B or Local service it is one ride. The return needs another fare, and nearby buses or subways use the separate MTA system.

Can I park near either Brooklyn landing?

Parking is not a reliable plan. NYC Ferry says it is very limited near most landings and discourages driving. DUMBO has the B25 and inland subway options. South Williamsburg lists the B32, B62 and Q59, with the J/M/Z farther inland.

Can I bring a bicycle from DUMBO to South Williamsburg?

Yes while the outdoor rack has room. NYC Ferry says vessels generally accommodate about eight to ten bicycles. Both docks list racks and Citi Bike stations. The waterfront bike network is a useful fallback if the rack fills or the wait is long.

Is DUMBO–South Williamsburg direct?

Yes on East River B and Local sailings. Both patterns serve DUMBO and South Williamsburg consecutively. Regular compatible rows take about 10 to 12 minutes. NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable scheduled about 10 to 14 minutes on B during that dated exception. East River A skips South Williamsburg.

Where is the South Williamsburg ferry landing?

At 440 Kent Avenue near Division Avenue. NYC Ferry lists the B62 near Division and Berry and the B32 or Q59 near Broadway and Kent. The J/M/Z at Marcy Avenue is inland, not at the pier.

Could I walk or bike instead?

Yes, especially if the next ferry is distant. The two landings sit on the Brooklyn waterfront, but the route between them is longer than the map's straight line suggests. Compare total waiting time and use the greenway when schedule control matters.

Which landing is better for Brooklyn Bridge Park?

DUMBO. Old Fulton and Furman place you beside the northern end of Brooklyn Bridge Park. South Williamsburg serves the Kent Avenue waterfront farther north. Choose the dock by the attraction, not simply by the Brooklyn label.
