Questions riders ask before this trip
Soundview–Wall Street is a one-seat Bronx-to-downtown run down Manhattan's east side. East 90th, East 34th and Stuyvesant Cove break up a 51-to-60-minute dated holiday ride. The water is simple; the useful planning is the Bx27 or Bx39 at one end and the correct Pier 11 queue at the other.
How early should I arrive for the Soundview–Wall Street ferry?
Arrive before the posted departure with your ticket ready and confirm Rockaway–Soundview. Boarding is first-come. At Pier 11, join the route-specific queue; several NYC Ferry lines use the terminal, but not every uptown boat serves Soundview.

The regular NYC Ferry fare is currently $4.50 one way, bought in the app or at a landing machine. This is a one-seat ride. A return trip needs another fare because round trips do not qualify for the 120-minute free-transfer rule.

Neither end is a sensible ferry-parking plan. NYC Ferry says parking is very limited near most landings and discourages driving. Use the Bx27 or Bx39 at Soundview and downtown subway, bus, bicycle or walking connections at Pier 11.

Yes, if the vessel rack still has space. NYC Ferry boats generally carry about eight to ten bicycles and may stop bike boarding when full. Both landings list bike racks, and Pier 11 has nearby Citi Bike docks.

The boat calls at East 90th, East 34th and Stuyvesant Cove before Pier 11. Stay aboard at all three. In the reverse direction, board at the printed Pier 11 departure time rather than confusing it with the earlier arrival dwell.

NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable ranged from 51 to 60 minutes across both directions. That was a dated holiday pattern, so use the live departure-to-arrival pair for your actual sailing.

NYC Ferry lists the Bx27 at the ferry landing and the Bx39 at Cornell Avenue and Soundview Avenue. Access-A-Ride uses 9 Soundview Avenue. None of the subway lines reaches the gangway, so include the bus or pickup in your timing.

Read both the route name and direction on the departure board. Rockaway–Soundview shares Pier 11 with several lines. Choose the sailing whose stop list runs through Stuyvesant Cove, East 34th and East 90th to Soundview.
