Questions riders ask before this trip

East 90th–Ferry Point Park is a northbound harbor shortcut with Soundview in the middle. The dated holiday table ran 22 to 27 minutes, but the Ferry Point landing is deep inside the park. Free parking helps; the limited weekday shuttle or a deliberate walk matters more than shaving a minute off the boat ride.

How early should I arrive for the East 90th–Ferry Point Park ferry?

Arrive before the posted departure with your ticket ready and choose the Rockaway–Soundview boat toward Ferry Point Park. Boarding is first-come. For the return, reach the park landing early enough that a shuttle or long path does not make you watch the boat leave.

How much is East 90th–Ferry Point Park?

The regular NYC Ferry fare is currently $4.50 one way. Buy in the app or at a machine. This is a one-seat ride; a return journey needs another fare because round trips are excluded from free transfers.

Can I park at Ferry Point Park?

Yes. NYC Ferry lists free parking at Ferry Point Park. The lot is not beside the ferry slip, so allow time for the path or weekday shuttle. East 90th has no operator lot and is better reached by bus, bike or drop-off.

Can I bring a bicycle to Ferry Point Park?

Yes, while the ferry rack has room. NYC Ferry generally accommodates about eight to ten bikes and may stop accepting them when full. Both landings list bike racks; a bicycle also makes the long Ferry Point park approach less awkward when the shuttle is not running.

Is East 90th–Ferry Point Park direct?

It is one boat with Soundview in between. Stay aboard there. Ferry Point Park is the northern terminal, so the correct boat from East 90th runs away from East 34th and Manhattan's downtown stops.

How long is the ferry from East 90th to Ferry Point Park?

NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable ranged from 22 to 27 minutes across the two directions. That was a dated holiday pattern, so use the live arrival tied to your sailing.

When does the Ferry Point Park shuttle run?

NYC Ferry says the free shuttle operates weekdays from 5:00 to 10:00 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. through the final ferry. It does not run midday or on weekends, is first-come, and leaves about 10 minutes before ferry departures.

Is Ferry Point Park accessible for pickup?

NYC Ferry lists the Access-A-Ride pickup and drop-off location as 498 Hutchinson River Parkway. Arrange that separately from the free parking shuttle, and confirm the park-side timing before travel rather than treating the address as the gangway itself.
