Questions riders ask before this trip
Stuyvesant Cove–Sunset Park/BAT is a one-seat East Side-to-Brooklyn Army Terminal run with Pier 11 in the middle. The dated holiday table ran 32 to 38 minutes, including the downtown dwell. It is a fine waterfront shortcut when Pier 4 is the destination; for inland Sunset Park, remember that the subway still leaves a real walk.
How early should I arrive for the Stuyvesant Cove–Sunset Park ferry?
Reach Stuyvesant Cove before the listed departure with your ticket ready and confirm Rockaway–Soundview. Boarding is first-come, and later partial runs may not cover the entire line. Check that Sunset Park/BAT appears in the stop list before joining the queue.

The regular NYC Ferry fare is currently $4.50 one way, bought in the app or at a landing machine. Pier 11 is an intermediate stop, not a transfer. A return trip needs another fare because round trips do not qualify for free transfers.

Sunset Park/BAT is the practical car end. NYC Ferry lists free public parking on Pier 4, though special events can restrict it. Stuyvesant Cove has no operator lot and is better reached by the M9, M23-SBS, bicycle or a planned drop-off.

Yes, if rack space remains. NYC Ferry vessels generally take about eight to ten bicycles and may stop bike boarding when full. Both landings have bike racks, and Stuyvesant Cove connects naturally to the East River greenway.

It is one boat with Wall Street/Pier 11 in between. Stay aboard there. The timetable prints separate Pier 11 arrival and departure times, so the downtown call includes a deliberate dwell rather than a quick touch-and-go.

NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable ranged from 32 to 38 minutes across both directions. That was a dated holiday pattern and includes the Pier 11 dwell, so check the current paired arrival for your sailing.

NYC Ferry describes the N/R at 59th Street as a short walk east along 58th Street from the waterfront. The B11 stops at 58th and First Avenue, and the B37 at 58th and Third. It is not a same-platform connection, so budget the walk.

The landing is at East 20th Street and FDR Drive. NYC Ferry lists the M9 and M23-SBS at Avenue C and East 20th, plus the M34A-SBS at East 23rd and First Avenue. None is on the gangway, so include the waterfront walk in your timing.
