Questions riders ask before this trip

Stuyvesant Cove–Wall Street is the neat downtown hop on Rockaway–Soundview: one stop, no transfer, and 11 to 14 minutes on the dated holiday table. It is most useful when the waterfront is already part of the trip. Stuyvesant Cove sits well east of the subway, while Pier 11 has several ferry queues sharing one busy terminal.

How early should I arrive for the Stuyvesant Cove–Wall Street ferry?

Reach the landing before departure with your ticket ready and confirm Rockaway–Soundview. Boarding is first-come. At Pier 11, join the route-specific queue rather than assuming every boat headed uptown will call at Stuyvesant Cove.

What does Stuyvesant Cove–Wall Street cost?

The regular NYC Ferry fare is currently $4.50 one way, bought in the app or at a landing machine. This is a one-stop ride with no transfer. A return trip needs another fare because round trips do not qualify for free transfers.

Can I park at Stuyvesant Cove or Pier 11?

Neither end is a sensible parking destination. NYC Ferry says parking is very limited near most landings and discourages driving. Use the M9 or M23-SBS for Stuyvesant Cove and downtown subway or bus connections for Pier 11.

Can I take a bicycle from Stuyvesant Cove to Wall Street?

Yes, if the vessel rack still has space. NYC Ferry boats generally carry about eight to ten bicycles and may stop bike boarding when full. Both ends connect well to waterfront cycling routes, and nearby Citi Bike can be simpler for this short trip.

Is Stuyvesant Cove–Wall Street nonstop?

Yes. The two landings are consecutive on Rockaway–Soundview. At Pier 11, the official table prints separate arrival and departure times for through boats, but riders between these endpoints simply board at one and get off at the next.

How long is the ferry from Stuyvesant Cove to Wall Street?

NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable ranged from 11 to 14 minutes across both directions. That was a dated holiday pattern, so check the live paired arrival for your actual travel date.

What transit serves Stuyvesant Cove?

The landing is at East 20th Street and FDR Drive. NYC Ferry lists the M9 and M23-SBS at Avenue C and East 20th, plus the M34A-SBS at East 23rd and First Avenue. The subway is farther inland, so include that walk in your comparison.

How do I find the correct boat at Pier 11?

Read the route name and direction on the departure board. Rockaway–Soundview shares Pier 11 with several NYC Ferry lines, and another boat may leave for East 34th by a different stop pattern. Choose the sailing whose list includes Stuyvesant Cove.
