Questions riders ask before this trip
Sunset Park/BAT–Ferry Point Park is a long one-seat sweep from southwest Brooklyn to the Bronx waterfront. The dated holiday table ran 78 to 86 minutes, with five Manhattan and Bronx stops in between. It is a scenic cross-city tool when the timetable fits, not a frequent shortcut to assume without checking.
How early should I arrive for BAT–Ferry Point Park?
Reach the landing before departure with your ticket ready and confirm Rockaway–Soundview. Boarding is first-come. Leave time to cross Brooklyn Army Terminal to Pier 4, and check the last Ferry Point return before committing to this long ride.

The regular NYC Ferry fare is currently $4.50 one way, bought in the app or at a landing machine. All intermediate calls are on the same boat. A trip back needs another fare because round trips do not qualify for free transfers.

Both ends are unusual NYC Ferry landings with parking. NYC Ferry lists free public parking on Pier 4 at BAT, subject to event restrictions, and free parking inside Ferry Point Park near the landing. Do not confuse that with a guarantee of space at departure time.

Yes, while rack space lasts. NYC Ferry vessels generally hold about eight to ten bicycles and may stop accepting them when full. A bike is useful at these spread-out waterfront terminals, but the rack is not a reservation.

The through boat calls at Wall Street/Pier 11, Stuyvesant Cove, East 34th Street, East 90th Street and Soundview. Stay aboard at all five. Pier 11's printed dwell is part of the trip, not a transfer.

NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable ranged from 78 to 86 minutes across every compatible row. That was a dated holiday pattern, so use the live paired arrival and last return for another date.

NYC Ferry lists a limited weekday shuttle between the landing and the 6 train at Westchester Square. Treat it as a timed, capacity-limited connection rather than an always-available bus, and check the current shuttle notice before relying on it.

The B11 stops at 58th and First Avenue, the B37 at 58th and Third, and the N/R is farther east at 59th Street. The landing is on Pier 4, so none is a same-platform connection.
