Questions riders ask before this trip

Sunset Park/BAT–Wall Street is Rockaway–Soundview's short harbor segment: consecutive stops and 13 to 19 minutes on the dated holiday table. South Brooklyn also links these endpoints through Red Hook and Atlantic Avenue, so the visible route qualifier is essential even when both boats are one-seat rides.

How early should I arrive for BAT–Wall Street via Rockaway–Soundview?

Be at the landing before departure with your ticket ready and confirm Rockaway–Soundview. Boarding is first-come. At Pier 11, join the qualified queue because South Brooklyn serves the same endpoints with a different stop pattern.

What does BAT–Wall Street cost?

The regular NYC Ferry fare is currently $4.50 one way, bought in the app or at a landing machine. These stops are consecutive with no transfer. A return trip needs another fare because round trips do not qualify for free transfers.

Can I park at BAT or Pier 11?

BAT is the practical car end. NYC Ferry lists free public parking on Pier 4, subject to event restrictions. Pier 11 has no dependable ferry lot; reach it by downtown subway, bus, bicycle, walking or drop-off.

Can I bring a bicycle between BAT and Wall Street?

Yes, while rack space remains. NYC Ferry boats generally hold about eight to ten bicycles and may stop accepting them when full. Both ends connect to waterfront riding, but a full rack can mean waiting for another sailing.

Is BAT–Wall Street nonstop on Rockaway–Soundview?

Yes. Sunset Park/BAT and Wall Street/Pier 11 are consecutive on this segment. Toward Brooklyn, use Pier 11's printed departure column because a through boat can dwell downtown before leaving.

How long is BAT–Wall Street via Rockaway–Soundview?

NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable ranged from 13 to 19 minutes across every compatible row. That was a dated holiday pattern, so compare the qualified live arrivals for your date.

How is South Brooklyn different between these endpoints?

South Brooklyn calls at Red Hook and Atlantic Avenue between BAT and Wall Street, while Rockaway–Soundview runs the segment consecutively. Both are one-seat rides. Choose by the qualified live arrival and queue, not the endpoint names alone.

Which downtown transit is near Pier 11?

NYC Ferry lists the 2/3 at Wall Street, J/Z at Broad Street and 1 at South Ferry. The landing is on the East River esplanade, not inside a station, so include the walk.
