Questions riders ask before this trip
Atlantic Avenue–Corlears Hook is a one-seat waterfront zigzag from Brooklyn Bridge Park to the Lower East Side, with Pier 11 in the middle. The dated holiday table ran 15 to 18 minutes. The boat is quick; the real work is reaching Pier 6 and leaving Corlears Hook, because neither landing sits beside a subway entrance.
How early should I arrive for Atlantic Avenue–Corlears Hook?
Reach the waterfront before departure with your ticket ready and confirm South Brooklyn. Boarding is first-come. Pier 6 sits inside Brooklyn Bridge Park, so include the walk from your bus or subway rather than treating Atlantic Avenue as a station entrance.

The regular NYC Ferry fare is currently $4.50 one way, bought in the app or at a landing machine. Pier 11 is an intermediate call, not a transfer. A return journey needs another fare because round trips do not qualify for free transfers.

Do not build this trip around parking. NYC Ferry says space is very limited near most landings and discourages driving. Pier 6 is better by bus, subway plus walking, bicycle or drop-off; Corlears Hook is reached through the Lower East Side waterfront park.

Yes, while rack space lasts. NYC Ferry boats generally hold about eight to ten bicycles and may stop bike boarding when full. Both ends connect naturally to waterfront greenways and list nearby racks or Citi Bike docks.

It is one boat, but not nonstop. South Brooklyn calls at Wall Street/Pier 11 between the two landings. Stay aboard there; no transfer is needed. Use the route name because several services share Pier 11.

NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable ranged from 15 to 18 minutes across both directions. That was a dated holiday pattern, so use the current departure-to-arrival pair for another date.
