Questions riders ask before this trip

Atlantic Avenue–East 34th is a one-seat cross-river trip through Pier 11 and Corlears Hook. The dated holiday table ran 24 to 30 minutes. Both landings hide a land-side catch: Pier 6 requires a park walk, and East 34th sits on the river several avenues from the subway.

How early should I arrive for Atlantic Avenue–East 34th?

Reach the landing before departure with your ticket ready and confirm South Brooklyn. Boarding is first-come. At Pier 6, include the waterfront walk; at East 34th, confirm the route because several NYC Ferry services share the terminal.

What does Atlantic Avenue–East 34th cost?

The regular NYC Ferry fare is currently $4.50 one way, bought in the app or at a machine. Pier 11 and Corlears Hook are intermediate stops, not transfers. A ride back needs another fare.

Can I park at Pier 6 or East 34th Street?

Do not count on ferry parking at either end. NYC Ferry says parking is very limited near most docks and discourages driving. Use Brooklyn buses or inland trains plus a walk for Pier 6, and the M34, M15, bicycle or drop-off at East 34th.

Can I take a bicycle between Pier 6 and East 34th?

Yes, while the rack has room. NYC Ferry boats generally accommodate about eight to ten bicycles and may stop bike boarding when full. Both landings connect well to waterfront greenways and list bike racks or nearby Citi Bike docks.

What stops are between Atlantic Avenue and East 34th?

The one-seat South Brooklyn trip calls at Wall Street/Pier 11 and Corlears Hook. Stay aboard at both. Pier 11 uses separate arrival and departure columns in the holiday table, so the printed downtown dwell is part of the journey.

How long is the ferry from Atlantic Avenue to East 34th?

NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable ranged from 24 to 30 minutes across both directions. That was a dated holiday pattern and includes Pier 11's dwell, so use the live paired arrival for another date.

Where exactly is the East 34th Street landing?

The dock is at East 35th Street and FDR Drive, not beside Penn Station or a subway entrance. NYC Ferry lists the M34 at the terminal, the M15 on First Avenue and the 4/6 near East 33rd and Park Avenue.

How do I reach Pier 6 from inland Brooklyn?

NYC Ferry lists the B61 and B63 at Atlantic Avenue and Furman Street, the B57 near Court Street, F/G trains at Bergen Street and 4/5 trains near Borough Hall. None is on the gangway, so budget the park walk.
