Questions riders ask before this trip

Corlears Hook–East 34th is South Brooklyn's short Manhattan waterfront hop: consecutive landings and 9 to 12 minutes on the dated holiday table. The boat is the easy part. Corlears Hook has no subway at the pier, and East 34th sits on the river several avenues from the nearest train.

How early should I arrive for Corlears Hook–East 34th?

Reach the landing before departure with your ticket ready and confirm South Brooklyn. Boarding is first-come. Allow for the park approach at Corlears Hook and the avenue walk or bus connection at East 34th rather than timing the trip from the nearest subway station.

What does Corlears Hook–East 34th cost?

The regular NYC Ferry fare is currently $4.50 one way, bought in the app or at a landing machine. These are consecutive stops, so no transfer is involved. A ride back needs another fare because a round trip is not a free transfer.

Can I park at Corlears Hook or East 34th?

Do not plan around ferry parking at either end. NYC Ferry says parking is very limited near most landings and discourages driving. Corlears Hook works better by bus, bike or walking; East 34th works better by the M34, M15, bicycle or drop-off.

Can I bring a bicycle between Corlears Hook and East 34th?

Yes, if the rack still has room. NYC Ferry vessels generally carry about eight to ten bicycles and may stop bike boarding when full. Both landings connect naturally to the East River greenway, which can make cycling more useful than the inland subway walk.

Is Corlears Hook–East 34th nonstop?

Yes. The two landings are consecutive on South Brooklyn, with no scheduled call between them. Check the route label at East 34th because several NYC Ferry services use that terminal and only South Brooklyn serves Corlears Hook.

How long is the ferry from Corlears Hook to East 34th?

NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable ranged from 9 to 12 minutes across both directions. That was a dated holiday pattern, so use the current departure's paired arrival when a few minutes matter.

Where exactly is the East 34th Street landing?

The dock is at East 35th Street and FDR Drive, not beside Penn Station or a subway entrance. NYC Ferry lists the M34 at the terminal, the M15 on First Avenue and the 4/6 near East 33rd and Park Avenue.

Where does Access-A-Ride meet at Corlears Hook?

NYC Ferry lists 484 Cherry Street as the accessible pickup and drop-off point. Use that exact address rather than the broad park description. If you need boarding help, arrive before the queue moves and identify the request to the crew.
