Questions riders ask before this trip
Corlears Hook–Bay Ridge is South Brooklyn's full waterfront sweep: Lower East Side to American Veterans Memorial Pier with four intermediate landings. The dated holiday table ran 49 to 52 minutes. It is scenic and one-seat, but long enough that checking the exact extension and last return is part of the outing.
How early should I arrive for Corlears Hook–Bay Ridge?
Be at the landing before departure with your ticket ready and confirm that the South Brooklyn trip continues to Bay Ridge. Boarding is first-come, and not every pattern serves the southern extension. Leave real time for the walk through the park to Corlears Hook.

The regular NYC Ferry fare is currently $4.50 one way, bought in the app or at a landing machine. The four intermediate calls are part of one ride. A return trip needs another fare because round trips do not qualify for free transfers.

Do not assume either landing has ferry parking. NYC Ferry says parking is very limited near most docks and discourages driving. Corlears Hook is best by bus, bicycle or walking; Bay Ridge is better reached by the B9, B64 or the inland walk from the R train.

Yes, while rack space lasts. NYC Ferry boats generally hold about eight to ten bicycles and may refuse another when full. A bike is particularly useful at Bay Ridge because the landing sits west of the R train, but the rack is not guaranteed.

The through South Brooklyn boat calls at Wall Street/Pier 11, Atlantic Avenue/BBP Pier 6, Red Hook/Atlantic Basin and Sunset Park/BAT. Stay aboard at each. Check the live stop list because shorter patterns may finish before Bay Ridge.

NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable ranged from 49 to 52 minutes across every row serving both endpoints. That was a dated holiday extension, so check the current paired arrival and last return for your date.

It is not at the station. NYC Ferry places the dock at American Veterans Memorial Pier and lists the R at Bay Ridge Avenue and Fourth Avenue. The B9 and B64 stop nearer Shore Road, so count the walk or bus connection.

It can be either, but the long stop pattern makes the timetable decisive. Compare the full ferry arrival with inland subway and bus options, then leave margin for first-come boarding and the land-side walk at both ends. The ferry's advantage is the one-seat waterfront ride, not frequency.
