Questions riders ask before this trip

Bay Ridge–Wall Street via South Brooklyn is the local waterfront run through BAT, Red Hook and Atlantic Avenue. The dated holiday table scheduled 39 minutes in either direction. St. George also links Bay Ridge and Wall Street directly with a different path, so route labels and live arrivals matter more than the shared endpoints.

How early should I arrive for Bay Ridge–Wall Street via South Brooklyn?

Reach the landing before departure with your ticket ready and confirm South Brooklyn, not St. George. Boarding is first-come. The services share these endpoints but use different intermediate stops, so join the qualified queue at Pier 11 and check the live stop list at Bay Ridge.

What does Bay Ridge–Wall Street cost?

The regular NYC Ferry fare is currently $4.50 one way, bought in the app or at a landing machine. BAT, Red Hook and Atlantic Avenue are intermediate calls on the same boat. A return trip needs another fare because round trips do not qualify for free transfers.

Can I park at Bay Ridge or Pier 11?

Neither is a sensible ferry-parking destination. NYC Ferry says space is very limited near most landings and discourages driving. Use the B9, B64, bicycle or walking at Bay Ridge, and downtown subway, bus, bicycle or walking at Pier 11.

Can I bring a bicycle between Bay Ridge and Wall Street?

Yes, if the rack still has room. NYC Ferry vessels generally carry about eight to ten bicycles and may stop accepting them when full. A bike is useful for the inland Bay Ridge connection, but a full rack can mean waiting for another extension trip.

What stops are between Bay Ridge and Wall Street on South Brooklyn?

The one-seat route calls at Sunset Park/BAT, Red Hook/Atlantic Basin and Atlantic Avenue/BBP Pier 6. Stay aboard at all three. In the reverse direction, use Pier 11's departure column because a through boat can dwell downtown before continuing.

How long is Bay Ridge–Wall Street via South Brooklyn?

NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable scheduled 39 minutes in both directions on every row serving both endpoints. That was a dated holiday extension, so compare the qualified live arrivals for your actual date.

How is the St. George route between Bay Ridge and Wall Street different?

St. George calls only at Atlantic Avenue between these endpoints, while South Brooklyn also calls at BAT and Red Hook before Atlantic Avenue. Both are one-seat rides. Choose by the qualified live arrival and intermediate path rather than assuming the endpoint names identify one service.

Which downtown transit is near Pier 11?

NYC Ferry lists the 2/3 at Wall Street, J/Z at Broad Street and 1 at South Ferry, plus several downtown buses. The landing is on the East River esplanade, not inside a station, so include the walk from the subway.
