Questions riders ask before this trip

Atlantic Avenue–Battery Park City is a sweeping harbor ride, not a quick cross-river hop. The boat calls at Bay Ridge and St. George before turning up the Hudson, taking about 49 to 50 minutes in current weekday and weekend tables. Choose it for a one-seat waterfront trip and the views, not raw speed.

How early should I arrive for Atlantic Avenue–Battery Park City?

Reach the dock before departure with your ticket ready. Boarding is first-come. Use Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6 for Atlantic Avenue and the Vesey Street landing for Battery Park City. Confirm the St. George route rather than following signs for DUMBO, Pier 11 or a New Jersey ferry.

How much is Atlantic Avenue–Battery Park City?

The current regular NYC Ferry fare is $4.50 one way, bought in the app or at a landing machine. Bay Ridge and St. George are intermediate calls on the same ride. A return trip needs another fare; MTA transit uses separate payment.

Can I park at Pier 6 or Battery Park City?

Do not build this trip around ferry parking. NYC Ferry says parking is very limited near most landings and discourages driving. Pier 6 is better reached by the B61, B63 or B57 and a walk; Vesey Street has several subway and bus options but no listed ferry lot.

Can I take a bicycle from Atlantic Avenue to Battery Park City?

Yes while the boat's rack has space. NYC Ferry vessels generally accommodate about eight to ten bicycles. Pier 6 lists bike racks and Citi Bike; Battery Park City lists Citi Bike docks near River Terrace. Arrive early because rack space is not reserved.

Is Atlantic Avenue–Battery Park City direct?

It is one boat on the regular through pattern, with Bay Ridge and St. George in between, and takes about 49 to 50 minutes. In NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot PDF, the one continuous six-stop table toward Midtown kept Atlantic Avenue through to Battery Park City on one boat, taking 50 minutes. The Wall Street-bound side printed separate blocks, so it did not promise the reverse one-seat trip during that dated exception.

Why does this Brooklyn-to-Manhattan trip go through Staten Island?

That is the St. George line's published stop order. From Atlantic Avenue toward Battery Park City it runs via Bay Ridge and St. George before reaching Vesey Street. If time matters more than a one-seat harbor ride, compare the full door-to-door arrival with land transit.

Which Battery Park landing should I use?

Use NYC Ferry's Battery Park City landing at Battery Park and Vesey Street. It is not the Statue of Liberty departure area at The Battery and not Pier 11 on the East River. Search the exact landing name before setting out.

Which Brooklyn Bridge Park pier is Atlantic Avenue?

Pier 6, near the park's southern end. NYC Ferry lists it on the Brooklyn Bridge Park Greenway and connects it with the B61, B63 and B57 plus inland subway options. DUMBO/Fulton Ferry is a separate landing farther north.
