Questions riders ask before this trip
Atlantic Avenue–Wall Street is the St. George line's brisk final hop. Current tables span 4 to 7 minutes: about 4 minutes toward Wall Street and 7 minutes back. The water crossing is tiny; finding the correct landing and queue is most of the work.
How early should I arrive for Atlantic Avenue–Wall Street?
Be at the dock before departure with your ticket ready. Boarding is first-come. Use Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6 and the signed St. George-route queue at Pier 11. Several services share Lower Manhattan, so check the route display rather than taking the first ferry you see.

The current regular fare is $4.50 one way, even for this short segment. Buy in the NYC Ferry app or at a machine and activate before boarding. A return trip needs another fare; round-trip journeys do not qualify for free transfers.

Do not plan around a ferry lot at either landing. NYC Ferry says parking is very limited near most docks. Pier 6 has nearby buses and inland trains; Pier 11 is better reached by Lower Manhattan subway, bus, bicycle or walking.

Yes if the rack has room. NYC Ferry boats generally hold about eight to ten bicycles. Both landings list bike racks and Citi Bike nearby, which can be a better fallback than waiting when the next ferry is distant or the rack is full.

Yes. Regular weekday and weekend rows show about 4 minutes toward Wall Street and about 7 minutes back. NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable kept both stops consecutive in the southern block, with the same 4-to-7-minute span during that dated exception.

No. Atlantic Avenue is Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6 near the park's southern end. DUMBO/Fulton Ferry is farther north at Old Fulton Street. Use the exact landing name in the app and on signs.
Source: Official Atlantic Avenue landing information ↗Could I take a different ferry between Brooklyn Bridge Park and Manhattan?
Possibly, but landing names matter. Several NYC Ferry routes serve Pier 11 while not all serve Pier 6. Choose a departure that explicitly lists Atlantic Avenue/BBP Pier 6 rather than assuming every downtown boat makes this crossing.

NYC Ferry lists the 2/3 near Wall Street, J/Z near Broad Street and 1 near South Ferry, plus buses. None is on the gangway itself. Include the waterfront walk and the time needed to locate your return queue.
