Questions riders ask before this trip
Bay Ridge–Wall Street is a practical two-leg commute on the St. George route, with Atlantic Avenue between Shore Road and Pier 11. Current trips span about 21 to 25 minutes. The ferry ride is simple; the Bay Ridge pier's distance from the R train is the variable to solve.
How early should I arrive for Bay Ridge–Wall Street?
Be at American Veterans Memorial Pier before departure with your ticket ready. Boarding is first-come. At Pier 11, use the signed St. George-route queue for the return. Confirm the endpoint display because several lines use Lower Manhattan.

The current regular NYC Ferry fare is $4.50 one way, purchased in the app or at a landing machine. Atlantic Avenue is part of the same ride. A trip back needs another fare; round-trip journeys do not qualify for free transfers.

Do not expect a dedicated ferry lot at either end. NYC Ferry says parking is very limited near most landings. Bay Ridge has the B9 and B64 near Shore Road and the R inland; Pier 11 is better by downtown transit, walking or bicycle.

Yes while rack space lasts. NYC Ferry boats generally carry about eight to ten bicycles. A bike can close the Shore Road-to-subway gap, but a full rack can leave another bicycle behind, so arrive early or keep a land backup.

It is one boat with Atlantic Avenue in between. Regular weekday and weekend rows take about 21 to 25 minutes. NYC Ferry's September 28 through October 2, 2026 Sukkot timetable kept all three stops in the same southern block and scheduled the same 21-to-25-minute range during that dated exception.

Use the paired departure and arrival in the current timetable, then add queue and land-connection time. Boarding is first-come and alerts can change service. A backup matters if missing one boat would make you late.

NYC Ferry lists the R at Bay Ridge Avenue and Fourth Avenue while the pier is on Shore Road. The B9 and B64 are closer to the waterfront. The walk or bus is part of this commute, not a negligible transfer.

Yes when the onward departure falls within NYC Ferry's 120-minute transfer window. Follow the correct route signs because Pier 11 has several queues. Check the connection before leaving Bay Ridge rather than assuming every service is frequent.
